Ben Eiben -
Ben is in charge of horticulture at Furbish Company. He received his B.S. in biology from Susquehanna University where he was involved in research studying the behavioral ecology of wolf spiders. He has worked for the National Aquarium in Baltimore and the Atlanta Botanical Garden managing large collections of neo-tropical amphibians and plants. Ben has travelled through Central and South America as well as some tropical Pacific Islands collecting and studying plants and animals. In his free time Ben is on his kayak fishing and exploring the Chesapeake." |

Doug Leasure - Doug is a Project Manager for the Living Roof division of Furbish Company. Prior to joining the firm, Doug was Captain of the Schooner Lynx out of Long Beach, CA. He began his sailing career at age 17 as novice deckhand and worked his way through all positions on traditional sailing vessels – deckhand, bosun, engineer, mate, captain, and occasionally cook. His experience brings remarkable talent in managing not only our crews in diverse site conditions, but also coordinating diverse site conditions with general contractors. Doug lives with his wife and son in Westminster. |

Jimmy Dick - Jimmy is our Sales Guy for Furbish Company and SmartSlope. His passion and career most recently has expanded from financial services and restaurant management into the environmental field. He comes to Furbish Company after serving as mid-Atlantic Business Development Director for Marcor Remediation, Inc. Jimmy's expertise involves the cultivation of lasting client relationships and implementing effective business plans and marketing strategies for local markets. He received his bachelor's degree in business from Frostburg State University and resides on Kent Island with his wife and daughter. |

Lisa Garman - Lisa is a partner with the firm and acts as our Office Manager, managing all human resource, administration and accounting issues. Her passion for the environment and energy translate to sustainable initiatives of office operations. Prior to joining Furbish Company she has worked in the executive sales and catering office of the Baltimore Hyatt Regency; for Martin Gillett producing nutritional labeling and U.S. Foodservice as a packaging graphics coordinator. She is a Baltimore native who enjoys art, music, dance and hiking with her dog, a stray rescued from an office park. Her other passions are holistic health and nutrition research. |

Michael Furbish - Michael founded the company in 2003 to deliver green building systems in the mid-Atlantic region. Prior to that, he pursued a variety of entrepreneurial ventures including programs with at-risk youth from Baltimore City for Living Classrooms Foundation. From 1985 to 1990, Michael developed commercial real estate as a partner with Trammell Crow Company. He serves as Treasurer for the Baltimore Chapter of Urban Land Institute and is a LEED accredited professional. Michael earned his BSIE from Georgia Tech and his MBA from Harvard. He lives with his wife and daughter in their straw bale house in Pasadena, MD. |

Rick Truett - Rick is a partner with the firm and manages the living roof and biofilter divisions. He oversees estimating and project management and has successfully executed over 500,000 sf of living roof installations. Prior to joining Furbish Company in July 2005, Rick served as Fleet and Facilities Senior Manager for Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where sustainability and environmental stewardship underscored all operations. He maintains his pilots license as well as his Merchant Mariner's license. He is an accomplished and performing singer and musician. Rick lives with his wife and son in Pasadena. |

Sue Hyson - Sue oversees design and marketing for Furbish Company and SmartSlope. Her experience has included working as the Design Director at a major Baltimore ad agency, as well as managing her own design firm for over 15 years. Clients have included the National Aquarium, IBM Corporation, Trump Plaza Hotel and Casino and Legg Mason. Sue lives in Timonium with her two daughters and their yellow lab, Buster. |

Willy Agee - Willy is a partner with the firm and heads up our SmartSlope Living Retaining Wall division. Willy came to Furbish Company from the Chesapeake Bay Foundation, where he spent 14 years working on issues related to the Bay and water quality. He was in charge of all fleet and facilities for CBF's education program, as well as involved in many new construction projects including CBF's LEED Platinum rated headquarters building, the Phillip Merrill Center for the Environment. Willy is a graduate of Towson University, coaches and plays lacrosse, and lives on Maryland's Eastern Shore with his wife and two daughters. |
